The Cracks Are Being Revealed
The eclipse season is here to show us what needs to be released.
Sometimes we need to be cracked open to heal deep subconscious wounds.
The more we release deep subconscious wounds, the more it expands our heart space and increases our capacity to receive love and joy.
Pretty much almost every person I know right now is absolutely going through it.
Whether conscious or not.
We are in the middle of eclipse season and this is one for the record books.
Lots of emotions are coming up to the surface and this is looking different for everyone.
For some it’s coping with anger, for others it’s dealing with some intense limiting beliefs that are causing sadness and depression.
What Is Causing Heightened Emotions for You?
Whatever is coming up to the surface this eclipse season is really trying to show you what needs to be healed so you can come back to who you truly are.
Anger is showing you where you’re not being honored. It’s an invitation for perhaps needing better boundaries or communication. The best release for anger is understanding, expression, and movement.
Sadness and depression is showing you a belief that is out of alignment with your soul truth. Allow it to be the guide to what needs to be healed so you can release it.
This Is a Season to Feel Your Feels
This is a season to feel your feels. All of them. No matter how difficult or challenging. The more you avoid it, the worse it gets. That’s a promise.
This is also a season of not going it alone. It’s time to call in your soul tribe. Invest in whatever resources can support your mental health — whether it’s a spa day, a salt bath, a therapy session, community spaces (online or in-person), or an intuitive support session.
There’s a lot of chaos and fear in the world right now. Please don’t give into this energy. Sometimes focusing on your healing is the best thing you can do for the world right now.
Give yourself this gift. It’s time to heal.
Are You Being Eclipsed Out?
Eclipse season shines a light on what is no longer working, giving us the opportunity to release it and make space for what’s truly meant for you.
Eclipse seasons shine a light on what no longer serves us, giving us the opportunity to release and create space for what’s truly meant for us.
Full disclosure: I never fully believed in astrology when I was younger despite having my grandmother as a full-time astrologer my entire life. She was the classic San Francisco hippie grandma who has lived near Haight-Ashbury since the '60s. Whenever she spoke about the planets or the stars, often referring to me as “star child,” I would always respond with "okay... grandma," feeling there was maybe something to it but not quite sure for myself.
I always felt like astrology was like ghosts—you sort of want to believe it’s real, but you aren’t quite sure.
That was, until I started experiencing real-life events and intense moments only on full moons or during eclipse season. It made me realize there are no coincidences. There was no way the same intense events could happen over and over again but only on a full moon. That’s wild—but it’s true. It felt like the universe, and the moon specifically, were serving their purpose by highlighting things in my life that needed resolution.
This is your sign to start paying attention to the moon cycle. Notice when you get into the most arguments, when you feel the most emotional, or when significant life events occur. It will be eye-opening, to say the least.
The power of the moon is seriously understated in our society. Most people who live by the moon are often cast aside as “hippie spiritual types,” when in reality, the moon is a deeply powerful force in our lives. Many ancient cultures knew this and modern science is starting to prove it. The moon controls the tides of the ocean, which makes up over 70% of our planet, and since our bodies are made of between 50-75% water, the connection between the moon and our emotions is undeniable. Water is also tied to our emotional body and dreams, which means the moon has a strong influence over both.
Have you ever noticed your dreams are more vivid during a full moon, or that you or others seem more emotional?
Statistically, there are more incidents reported to police and more accidents during a full moon. It’s a heightened time emotionally, and it should be treated with care.
Full moons are truly a time to slow down and nurture our physical and emotional selves. A lunar eclipse, which is like a full moon on steroids, starts a two-week eclipse cycle that happens twice a year and finishes with a solar eclipse. This period tends to be emotionally and energetically intense.
During these times, you may notice more arguments, more tears, more breakups, and even more vivid dreams. This is all common during a full moon, but it’s even more amplified during eclipse season.
If certain aspects of your life are out of alignment—whether it’s a relationship that’s past its expiration date, a job you hate, or a living situation you are unhappy in—eclipse season might push you to face those issues head-on. Sometimes, the universe steps in and “eclipses out” what’s no longer serving you.
The first time I was “eclipsed out,” was when I moved to Mexico. I went through massive life changes during my first eclipse season there. I quit my job, left a relationship, and moved countries all within a few weeks. When major things leave or disappear during this time, it can leave us in shock. Whether we set the ball in motion or the universe did, the moon is simply doing its job—highlighting what needs to go and removing it if we don’t have the courage to do it ourselves.
This is why it’s so important—and I will say this time and time again—to live your life in alignment. What does this mean? It means only allowing or inviting things into your life that excite you or light you up. Anything that causes you unhappiness is simply out of alignment with your highest good.
I always empower people to live in alignment for many reasons but most importantly so you can feel fulfilled and happy. Hate your job? Take steps to find a better one. Unhappy in your relationship? Work on it or leave it. Dislike where you’re living? Make plans to move somewhere else.
When your life is aligned with your true desires, you’re less likely to experience the harshness of being “eclipsed out.” The universe becomes gentler with us when we’re actively making choices to live a life that excites and fulfills us.
This doesn’t mean eclipse seasons will always be smooth sailing. Sometimes, the true colors of people we thought were our closest allies come to light. But remember, this is all being highlighted for us to see clearly and take action based on the new information.
That’s what eclipse seasons are all about—shedding light on whatever darkness is lurking and bringing emotions to the surface that you’ve been avoiding. It’s not happening to you; it’s happening for you. The sooner you bring awareness to the parts of your life that aren’t in harmony, the sooner you can bring everything into alignment.
If you’ve made it this far in the article and want to connect more intentionally with the moon, one of my favorite ways is through a nourishing yoga nidra meditation. It’s a beautiful way to slow down and tune into the universe and the moon of course.
